Vestal Kennedy Dies In Michigan; Rites At Auburn
Vestel Kennedy of Auburntown died in Wayne, Mich., Tuesday night of last week following several weeks illness.
Mr. Kennedy had been employed by the Michigan State hospital in Wayne for the past three years.
A son of the late H. H. and Susie Kennedy, Mr. Kennedy lived most of his life in Auburntown where he was employed by a mercantile store. He [al]so operated a store in Dowelltown for a little while.
He was married to the late Meda Odom Kennedy.
Survivors include two daughters, Lois of Nashville and Katherine who is in California.
The body arrived Saturday night and was carried to the home of W. B. Kennedy in Auburntown where it remained until the funeral services Sunday afternoon conducted by Rev. Anderson, pastor of the Auburn Baptist Church.
Burial was in the Odom Cemetery near Auburntown with Jennings and Ayers in charge.
