Peter Kress Is Called To Rest Friday Evening
Cleveland, Wis. -- (Special) -- Peter Kress, 44, passed away at his home here last night at 7 o'clock after a lingering illness. Deceased was born here in Cleveland on June 21, 1896, the son of John and Frances Kress.
On January 20, 1920, he was married to Eleanor Buchberger at Centerville and the couple made their home in Cleveland. He was a carpenter by trade. He served in the World War and was a member of American Legion Post No. 88.
Survivors are his wife; two sons, Herbert and Vernon, at home; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Kress, of Centerville; four brothers, Joseph, Edward and Norbert of Centerville and Clarence of Cleveland; two sisters, Mrs. Norbert Leonard of Cleveland and Mrs. John Huber of Plymouth. One sister, Mrs. Anna Junk, passed away in 1926.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 9 a.m. at St. George's Catholic church in Centerville,. the Rev. Joseph Schaefer officiating. Burial will be made in the adjoining church cemetery. Friends may view the body at the residence from this evening at 6 o'clock until the time of the services.
