Joseph Langer, 74, formerly employed as a farm laborer in the Jericho (Calumet County) area, died early Sunday at Parklawn Home for the Aged in Sheboygan.

In ill health for the past two years, he had been at Parklawn for six months. Prior to that he resided with the family of his late brother, John Langer, at Jericho.
Born in Germany on March 7, 1879, he was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Frank Langer. He came to America with his parents when one year old, settling near Jericho. He never married.

Mr. Langer was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Parish, Jericho, and of its Holy Name Society.

Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Anna Sell, New Holstein and two half-sisters, Mrs. Catherine Booker, San Diego, Calif., and Miss Elizabeth Harrig, Shawano.
The brother, John, died in April 1952.

Services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at the Pfeffer Funeral home, Chilton, and at 10 o’clock at Holy Trinity Church, Jericho, with the Rev. Joseph Schaefer of Shawano celebrating the mass. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 p.m. Tuesday until the time of services Thursday. The rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday.
