FUNERAL SERVICES FOR LOCAL RESIDENT FRIDAY AFTERNOON AT 2 PM
Ira McLaughlin, 64, passed away at his home at 209 North Seventh Street in this city Tuesday morning at 6:20 a.m. His death was due to complications. Mr. McLaughlin had been in failing health one and a half years. Ira McLaughlin was born January 28, 1879, in Carroll county, the son of the late W. J. and Jennie (McLaughlin) McLaughlin. December 28, 1901, he married to Nancy Stiver, in Warsaw, Indiana, who survives with three daughters, Miss Viola McLaughlin, who resides at home; Mrs. Leona Lodge, of Middle Point, and Mrs. Grace Clinger of Marion. One daughter, Helen, preceded him in death. Mr. McLaughlin also leaves four grandsons,Donald and Lawrence Clinger and James and Richard Lodge. Two brothers, Frank McLaughlin of Nevada;Edward McLaughlin, of Dellroy and one sister, Mrs. Ollie Sweaney, of Magnolia, also survive. One brother is deceased.
Mr. McLaughlin had been an employee of the Stoll Casket Works in this city for the past eighteen years. He was a member of the Christian Church in Warsaw. A kind and loving husband and father, he will be sadly missed by his relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Bringman & Co. funeral home. Rev. R. M.Dibble will officiate at the services and interment will be in Old Mission Cemetery.
The body will be taken to the late home Wednesday noon where friends may call after 7 ol'clock Wednesday evening until noon, Friday.
