HARRISBURG - James M. Fincher, 49, of 6100 Springford Drive, formerly of York, died Sunday at his home. He was the husband of Susan A. (Hoover) Fincher.

The service will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Zimmerman Auer Funeral Home Inc., 4100 Jonestown Road, Harrisburg. Burial will be in Shoop's Cemetery. Viewing will be 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Fincher was born in York. He was the son of the late Luther "Shorty"and Alexandra "Sally" (Kaspura) Fincher.

He was a 1961 graduate of Central York High School. He was the assistant meat manager for Fox's Market, Union Deposit, and was a former president of Paxton Athletic Association.

A member of Stevens Memorial United Methodist Church, he belonged to Palmyra Sportsmen's Association and the Loyal Order of the Moose Elizabethtown Lodge 596.

Mr. Fincher also is survived by three sons, Brian C. Fincher of Camp Hill, Craig A. Fincher and Kevin L. Fincher, both of Harrisburg; a grandson; and a step-granddaughter.

Officiating at the service will be his pastor, the Rev. Ronald C. Hoffman.
