Woodrow was born November 10, 1917 on the family farm in Cleveland to the late Hugo and Lena (Leonhard) Dhein.
On June 12, 1936 he married Esther Sommer. The couple farmed together on the family farm. Esther preceded him in death October 3, 2002.
He was a volunteer for the Cleveland Fire Department for 10 years.
Survivors include his sons, Donald Dhein of Cleveland, Ralph (LuEllen) Dhein of Howards Grove, Jerry (Trudy) Dhein of Manitowoc, and James (Joyce) Dhein of Cedarburg. He is further survived by his grandchildren, Daryl Dhein, DuWayne (Sandy) Dhein, Dale (Cindy) Dhein, Neil (Candy) Dhein, Clarise (Jeff) Scharenbroch, Jane (Mark) Nagel, Phillip (Tammy) Dhein, Patrick (Sara) Dhein, Sue (Michael) Greene, Sara (Chris) Smith, Paula (Cam) Cook, Scott Dhein, and Bruce (Debbie) Dhein. He is also survived by his great-grandchildren, Heidi (Ryan) Blank, Heather and Heath Dhein, Zachary Dhein, Claire and Teddy Dhein, Danny and Dallas Miller, Jack Scharenbroch, Nicholas and Halle Nagel, James and Joseph Dhein, Allison and Josh Greene, Emily, Ben and Patrick Smith, and Tyler and Mackenzie Cook.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Al and Joe, and his sisters, Eleanor, Marie, Julianne, and Margaret.
Funeral Services for Woodrow will be held Thursday, March 18, 2010, at The Chapel of Eternal Light Mausoleum at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 6706 Superior Ave. (Hwy O). The Reverend DuWayne Hanke will officiate. Entombment will follow services.
