ALGER - Chester V. Oyler, 70, died at 6:20 a.m. Monday in his home following a 10-year illness.
Born Jan. 1, 1895, in Michigan, he was a son of Clyde and Lenna Oyler.
Surviving are his wife, Letha; his mother, Mrs. Lenna Oyler of Alger; two sons, Robert of Canton and Joe of McComb; a daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Crook of Long Beach, Calif.; 12 grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Ann Whittekind of Canton; and a brother, Otto of Sharrodsville.
Services will be Wednesday at 3 p.m. in Hanson Funeral Home. Burial will be in Preston Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home.
