Lydia M. Henschel, 93 of 823 Fourth St., Kiel died Monday afternoon, Dec. 12, 1999 at her home.
She was born Dec. 29, 1905 in the town of Meeme, daughter of the late Fred and Anna Schreiber Roethel. She attended school in the town of Meeme. On June 20, 1931, Lydia married Gilbert Henschel at St. John's United Church of Christ, Schwartzwald. The couple celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. Her husband Gilbert preceded her in death on Jan. 31, 1990. She was a member of St. Peter's United Church of Christ, Kiel.
Survivors include one daughter, Mary Ann Jost of Kiel, one daughter-in-law, Leslie Henschel of Titusville, Fla.; four grandchildren, seven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, one son, Charles Henschel, five brothers and four sisters.
