Mrs. Burnham, Veteran School Teacher, Dies
MERIDIAN--Mrs. Ora Ethel Burnham, 69, of Meridian, route 2, a teacher in Idaho schools for 33 years, died Wednesday afternoon in her home after a long illness.
Mrs. Burnham was born July 31, 1884, at Falls City, Neb. She was graduated from Nebraska State Normal school at Peru, Neb., in 1909, and came to Idaho later that year to teach in the Emmett grade school. She was married Oct. 19, 1913, at Emmett to Zelotus E. Burnham and the couple returned to his home at McCarter, S.D. They moved to Boise valley in 1919 and Mrs. Burnham taught in a number of Ada county schools. She taught at Kuna the last six years and for the last two years was principal of the junior high school.
She was a member of the Methodist church; the PEO, of which she was a past state president, and the Locust Grove Grange.
Surviving are her husband, Zelotus E. Burnham of Meridian; one son, Asahel Burnham of Spokane; one daughter, Mrs. Mary Potter of Washington, D.C.; three brother, Raymond Fowler of Denver, Max Fowler of Seattle and Jim Fowler of Boise; two sisters, Mrs. A. C. Hitt of Casper, Wyo., and Mrs. C. L. Walker of Seattle, and four grandchildren.
Robison chapel is arranging services.

MERIDIAN--Services for Mrs. Ora E. Burnham, 69, of Meridian, route 2, who died Wednesday afternoon, will be conducted at the Methodist church Saturday at 2:30 p.m. The Rev. Leonard Clark and the Rev. Hartzell Cobbs of boise will officiate and Chapter AD, PEO, will conduct services at Meridian, where interment will be directed by Robison chapel.
