New Holstein—(Special)—Mrs. William Riess, 58, passed away at her home on Harrison Street today. She had been in ill health for the past 18 months.
She was born in Kiel, August 27, 1883, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Sieling. She was married to Mr. Riess at Kiel, April 12, 1905. The couple lived in Elkhart Lake four years, in Plymouth a year, and since 1910 have been in this city.
Survivors are two daughters, Frances (Mrs. Ben Boretski) and Miss Gladys, of Milwaukee; three sons, Roland and Harvey, Milwaukee; and Harold, a physical education instructor at Indianapolis, Ind.; and one brother, Fred, of Kiel. A son, Herbert, preceded her in death.
She was a member of the New Holstein Cemetery Ladies' Aid society and the Thursday club. Funeral services will be announced in tomorrow's Press.
