She was born March 24, 1913, in Denver, daughter of Louis and Emma Kuhlmann Bruns. She married Erwin A. Buhman Jr. on Aug. 30, 1942, at St. John Lutheran Church, Maxfield. He died Sept. 5, 1996.
Mrs. Buhman and her husband farmed in Black Hawk County for 30 years.
Survived by: two daughters, Mary Ann (William) May of Jesup and Connie Jo (Chuck) Hay of Denver; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a sister, Leona Gaede of Sumner; and two sisters-in-law, Glenyce Bruns of Readlyn and Marilyn (Neil) Miller of Waterloo.
Preceded in death by: three brothers, Ernest, Elmer and Wilbert Bruns.
Services: 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, Readlyn, with burial in the church cemetery. Public visitation from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home, Readlyn, and for an hour before services Thursday at the church.
