Burial was held at the Crosbyton Cemetery under the direction of Adams Funeral Home of Crosbyton. He died Friday at a Crosbyton hospital. He was born Nov. 7, 1903 in Oklahoma Territory. He married Leona Margaret Criswell Aug. 12, 1927 in Mangum. She died Jan. 12, 1989. He was a member of the Methodist Church. He managed the Kalgary Gin from 1958 until his retirement. He was also a farmer and a rancher. He moved to Kalgary in 1958 from Canyon Valley. He managed cotton gins for more than 50 years.
Survivors include two sons, Mike Berry of Altus and Chris Berry of Crosbyton.; a daughter, Dee Dee Talbert of Lubbock, Texas; a brother, L.C. Berry of Oklahoma City; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by a great-grandson, Kyle Solomon.
