Born May 23, 1920 in Haven, Delores was a daughter of the late Arno O. and Eleanora Sprenger Wunsch.
On Sept. 23, 1939, Delores was united in marriage to Marvin F. Witthuhn at Trinity Lutheran Church, Sheboygan. The couple was married for 59 years when he preceded her in death on Oct 14, 1998.
Delores was employed at J.C. Penney, retiring in 1981. During World War II, she worked as a burner at the shipyards in Sturgeon Bay. She was a member of St Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church.
Marvin and Delores were members of the Sheboygan Yacht Club and Sheboygan Outboard Club. They enjoyed traveling in their motor home and for many years, wintered in Brownsville, Texas. She also enjoyed knitting.
Delores is survived by her son, David (Val) Witthuhn of Rochester, Wis.; two grandchildren, Sadie Witthuhn of North Prairie and Jason Witthuhn of Eagle; a brother, Don (Hazel) Wunsch of Sheboygan; two nieces, two nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Delores will be held at St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church, 1818 N. 13th St., on Friday, April 14, 2000, at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Bert Thompson, associate pastor, officiating. Family and friends are invited to call at the CHURCH, on Friday, from 10 a.m. until the time of services. Entombment will be in Garden Terrace Mausoleum of Lutheran Cemetery. A memorial has been established in her name. The Lippert Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.
