Born March 14, 1924 in Haven, Town of Mosel, Donald was a son of the late Arno and Elnora Sprenger Wunsch.
Air Force in February of 1943 and served his country until November of 1945.
On August 10, 1946, he was united in marriage to Hazel M. Nelson at Austin Messiah Lutheran Church in Chicago.
He is survived by his wife, Hazel; his four children, Donna (Ken Carlson) Wunsch, Prineville, OR, Laurie Gilsdorf, Hudson, FL, Edward Wunsch, Minneapolis, MN, and James (Penny) Wunsch, Oregon, WI; ten grandchildren, Andy, Shelby and Charlie Carlson, Jessica, Aaron, and Geoffrey Gilsdorf, and Benjamin, Joshua, Jesse, and Gabrielle Wunsch; one great granddaughter, Xanndria; and a sister-in-law, Audrey (Fred) Padgett, Oakbrook, IL. He was preceded in death by his sister, Delores (Marvin) Witthuhn.
Inurnment in the Chapelof Eternal Life Mausoleum.
