Patricia Ann Whitt passed away Friday, January 11th at the age of 76, surrounded by family and loved ones. A lifelong Alaska resident, she was born March 10th, 1942 to Gustave and Alethea Scheibl and graduated from Palmer High School in 1960. She married James Hicks Whitt Jr. on June 29th, 1963, and together they raised a family of five daughters. Patricia worked for the Mat-Su Borough School District until her retirement in 1999. An avid outdoorswoman, she spent many summers and winters with her family fishing, hunting, snow-machining, 4-wheeling, and enjoying time at the cabin.
Patricia is preceded by her parents; her daughter Patty J Whitt; and her siblings Evelyn Harter, Annabelle Chowaniec, Enola "Lalle" Contini, and Frank, George, and Sampson Scheibl. She is survived by her husband James; her daughters Cindy Simon, Jamie Kaiser, Ann (Ryan) Ralston, and Terry (Matt) Murray; eleven grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
