Carl Rabenhorst, 68, of Maribel, died Wednesday morning at the home of his son, Lenhard, in the village of Maribel. He had been in poor health for several years.

He was born in Maribel in 1883 and in 1909 married Paulina Becker. They located on a farm on the outskirts of the village and retired in 1943.

Survivors are his wife; two sons, Hubert and Lenhard of Maribel; four daughters, Mrs. Norbert Klug of Morrison, Mrs. Gilbert Belitz and Mrs. Kenneth Schnell of Cleveland, Wis., and Mrs. Randolph Kreuger of Wayside; brother, Henry of Manitowoc; two sisters, Mrs. William Becker of Manitowoc, Mrs. Carl Kluenker of Route 5, Manitowoc.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the St. John Lutheran Church, Maribel. The Rev. Reinhard Koch will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery.

Friends may call at the Knutson Funeral Home, Denmark. The casket will be moved to the church at 11 a.m. Saturday.

Lists his parents as Wilhelm & Othilia, and a brother Henry (ages 51, 47 and 18 respectively).

Note: find results on him when searching for Carl & Charles, WWII draft card lists Charles (Carl) and birth certificate transcribed with initials K S F ... Maybe K is for Karl, S could have been mistaken for L (Louis)? and F for Fred / Frederich (or other variations on spelling).
