Amanda Hamann | Mrs. Elmer Hamann, 71, of the Town of Sheboygan Falls, died Saturday evening at Sheboygan Memorial Hospital, where she had been a patient six days. | The former Amanda Gutknecht was born April 9, 1910, in the Town of Mosel, daughter of William F. and Frieda Schmidt Gutknecht. She attended grade school in the Town of Mosel and graduated from Sheboygan High School in 1927. She attended Sheboygan Business College and later worked for Trilling Oil Co. in Sheboygan for several years. | On Nov. 3, 1928, she married Elmer Hamann in the Town of Mosel. The couple lived in Sheboygan until 1937, and since then in the Town of Sheboygan Falls, where they operated a farm. | Mrs. Hamann was a member of Salem Plankroad United Church of Christ in the Town of Sheboygan Falls, and a member of the Ladies Aid in the church. | She is survived by her husband; a daughter, Mrs. Elroy (Marilyn) Hanke of the Town of Plymouth, a son Charles of Sheboygan Falls; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Raymond Anger of the Town of Mosel. | Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Salem Plankroad UCC, in the Town of Sheboygan Falls. The Rev. Edward Beatty, pastor of Saron UCC, will officiate. Entombment will be in Lutheran Cemetery Mausoleum in Sheboygan. | Friends may call at Wittkopp Funeral Home in Plymouth from 4 p.m. Tuesday until 11 a.m. Wednesday, and at the church from noon until the time of services. | Members of the Salem Plakroad Church Ladies Aid are asked to meet at 1:15 at the church Wednesday to attend the services as a group. | A memorial has been established in her name for Salem Plankroad UCC. |
