Opal Evelyn (Sager) NAYLOR, 95, of Perryton, Texas died January 2, 2020 in Perryton. Funeral services will be held Monday, January 6, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church, officiated by Rev. Richard LAVERTY. Burial will conclude in Blue Mound Cemetery. Family visitation will be held at the funeral home Sunday, January 5, 2020 4-6 p.m. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funerals Home, Inc. of Perryton, Texas.
Mrs. NAYLOR was born on September 25, 1924 in Beaver County, Oklahoma to A.P. and Fannie SAGER. In July 1943 she married Dick NAYLOR. She was married in a double wedding in Beaver, Oklahoma with her brother Delbert SAGER and his wife Betty. She was a gold star mother caring for her son Darrell in their home for 39 years. Opal was a homemaker and a farmer’s wife.
Mrs. NAYLOR is survived by son, Dale NAYLOR and wife Jacqueline, of Balko, Oklahoma; Daughter, Belva WITT of Perryton, Texas; Grandchildren; Mark WITT and wife, Amy, Braden NAYLOR and wife, Maria, Jennifer TURNER and husband, Tatum, Jessica GIBSON and husband, Bronn, Joanna HUGHES and husband, Joe and thirteen great-grandchildren.
Opal is preceded in death by her son, Darrell, parents, A.P. and Fannie SAGRE, two brothers, and a sister.

Opal Evelyn (Sager) NAYLOR, 95, of Perryton, passed away Thursday, Jan. 2, 2020.

Services were held Monday, Jan. 6, 2020 at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church, Perryton, with Rev. Richard LAVERTY officiating. Burial was in Blue Mound Cemetery, Balko, OK. Arrangements were by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home, Inc. of Perryton.

Opal was born on Sept. 25, 1924 in the Balko Community to A. P. (Archie Preston) and Fannie Bell (Gant SAGER. Opal married Dick NAYLOR on July 11, 1943 in Beaver, OK in a double cermony with her brother, Delbert SAGER and Betty SHARP.

Dick and Opal farmed and ranched in the Balko Community, where they raised their three children. Their son Darrell was severely wounded in Vietnam in 1967 and in 1974, they moved to Perryton. They cared for him in their home until his death Jan. 5, 2006. Opal was a Gold Star Mother.

Opal is survived by her son, Lloyd Dale NAYLOR and wife Jacqueline, of Balko, OK; daughter, Belva Jean WITT of Perryton; five grandchildren: Mark WITT and wife, Amy of Canadian, Braden NAYLOR and wife, Maria of Balko, OK, Jennifer TURNER and husband, Tatum of Edmond, OK, Jessica GIBSON and husband, Bronn of Happy, and Joe of Canyon; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Opal is preceded in death by her husband, Dick, to whom she was married for 73 years; her son Darrell James; her parents, A. P. and Fannie SAGER, brother Cecil SAGER (Dorthy) and brother Delbert SAGER (Betty), sister Mildred RENFRO (Ralph), and son-in-law, Leslie WITT.

The family requests memorials be to the Giddeons; First Baptist Church missions or building fund, 415 S. Baylor St, Perryton, TX 79070.
