Mildred Aydlette Crain, 83, of the 800 block of Romney Lane, a retired beautician, died December 27, 1991, in a nursing home.
Mrs. Crain was born in Currituck, N.C., and retired from Lilly's Beauty Salon after 30 years. She also worked as a telephone operator at the Norfolk Naval Base. She was a member of Epworth United Methodist Church and was the widow of C. Earl Crain.
Survivors include a daughter, Virginia Coffield Gayle of Virginia Beach; a son, George Crain of Richmond; two brothers, Derwood Aydlette of Charleston, S.C. and Rondal Aydlette of Virginia Beach; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday in Rosewood Memorial Park by the Rev. J.Wade Munford. Friends may join the family from 7 to 8 p.m. today at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside Chapel.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
