Michael H. Nerim was born on 29 May 1963 at Toronto General Hospital in Toronto, Ontario Canada. He was the third son and fourth and last child of Kenneth Nerim Sr. and Jeanne Rita Nerim. Mike's Canadian citizenship did not last very long as the family moved back to Baltimore, Maryland on 21 November 1963. Six years later the family relocated to Sykesville MD in September 1969.

Mike began and finished his entire education within the Carroll County Public School System. While attending South Carroll High School (Class of 1981) he met Diane Morgan. After an on and off relationship they were married in the spring of 1986. Mike worked in landscaping for Greenwood Gardens at this time. Diane operated her father's gas station. The couple had a son, Michael S., who was born come that fall. In the months ahead Mike and Diane developed irreconcilable differences and eventually became divorced. The child remained in Diane's custody.

In late 1987, Mike's eldest brother relocated to Southwest Florida. Despite his brother's wishes to the contrary, Michael, then 24, moved south and away from his ex-wife and young son. He took up residency in nearby Fort Myers FL. As it was, he remained in Lee County for the rest of his life. Mike had a number of other romances as the years went by and two more abbreviated marriages, but no known additional children.

Mike worked in the landscaping crew at the Boston Red Sox Fort Myers spring training facility in the early 1990s before becoming disenchanted as a payroll employee. He decided to create his own business, Pinnacle Restoration. He operated as a repairman and a jack of all trades which at times involved partial restorations of nearby older homes. Mike had developed his skills with various tools over the years and much enjoyed working with his hands.

Mike loved movies, modern music and comedy acts. He had a large collection of CDs, tapes & DVDs which he shared during many hours of entertaining with his friends and family. Michael was also known for enjoying the Fort Myers nightlife scene.

After many years it was clear that Michael had always been closest to his mother, Jeanne. She moved to FL three years after becoming a widow and lived with Michael for a number of years.

Michael H. Nerim passed from this life on December 16th, 2017. He was 54 years of age.
