Kenneth Ira Nerim was born on August 28th 1925 in a row house located at 503 Pulaski Street in Baltimore Maryland. He was the only born son and the second and last child to naturalized U.S. citizens, Ira Nerim (Norway) and Anna Klaschus Nerim (Germany). During childhood young Ken, nicknamed "Buddy", along with older sister Dorothy (born Dec. 3, 1919) felt the trauma of their parents separation, their father's untimely and violent death in Colorado as well as the effects of the Great Depression. Kenneth enlisted at the age of eighteen and served his country during WW II in the Pacific Theater in the uniform of the USMC (1943 - 1946). After the war, he attended and graduated from the Maryland Institute of Art, class of 1949.

Ken married Jeanne Rita Bender on 12/29/1951, the marriage produced 4 children, Kenneth Jr., Linda, Jeffery & Michael. His forty year business career started in 1949 with McCormick Spice Co. of Baltimore. Ken eventually became a district manager. In 1962 the family was transferred to Toronto, Ontario, Canada as Ken helped head up his employers acquisition and re-organization of Club House Foods. Ken found new and exciting opportunities in 1964 with the Minute Maid division of Coca-Cola Foods. He very much enjoyed his years with Coke and continued his career as an executive regional manager until his retirement in 1989. He became an accomplished landscape painter (especially oils) in his later years. Kenneth was happy to become a grandfather for the first time in 1976. He eventually had three grandchildren, Jeremy Ryan Robinson (1976-2014), Michael Scott Phillips (1986) and Kristen Elizabeth Nerim (1989). Ken remained married to his beloved wife, Jeanne, for over 50 years until his passing from this life on October 9th 2002 at the age of 77 years, 1 month and 11 days.
