Alice Alvey Pierce, 86, of Orem, died Tuesday, Jan. 10, 1989 in Orem. She was born May 1, 1902 in Escalante, to John and Margaret Leah Harris Alvey. She married Wilford Pierce, Nov. 17. 1919 in Richfield. Their marriage wasd later solemnized in the Provo LDS Temple. He died July 11, 1972.

She was captain of the DUP Camp Timpanogos and was a member of the National Society of Utah Pioneers. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and had served as a Relief Society President, Primary and Sunday School teacher, visiting teacher for 60 Years, Cub Scout den leader. She was an ordinance worker in the Provo Temple for 13 years. She moved to Orem from Sigurd in 1942 and has lived there since. She is survived by two sons and five daughters
