William Mundy was originally believed to have met Sarah Longson who was then married to George Bolsover between 1838-1841. It has now been revealed thanks to DNA testing that they met at least ten years before. The surnames of four of Sarah's six children was changed to Mundy.

Hope Inn, Hope Terrace, 297 Chester Road, Hulme
He is also believed to have brewed his own beer which he sold at 2 King Street, Hulme, Manchester.
