Katherine Clarich, age 82, a resident of the Chilton Village, Chilton, and formerly of St. Nazianz, died Monday, January 23, 1995 at the Chilton Village. Funeral services will be held at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Howards Grove. Rev. Johathan Rossman will officiate with interment in the church cemetery.
The former Katherine Beck was born March 27, 1912, in Rosenheim Russia, daughter of the alte Alex and Beata Schaefer Beck. On May 25, 1935 Katherine Beck and Frank Clarich were united in marriage in Waukegan, Ill. The couple resided in Sheboygan. Frank preceded her in death on June 4, 1981. She was employed for the Lakeland Manufacturing Company for 25 years retiring in 1974.
Katherine was well known for rug weaving in the Sheboygan area. She was a past member of the Pigeon River P.T.A., the Extension Homemakers of Sheboygan and the St. Nazianz Senior Citizens. Katherine enjoyed bowling and traveling.
Survivors include one son, Frank (Marilyn) of Wisconsin Rapids; three daughters, Mrs. Frances (Cari) Fairchild, North Pole, Alaska, Kathleen Clarich, St. Nazianz, Mrs. Vivian (Harvey) Wendorf, rural Kiel; three grandchildren, three great grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Sophie Payne, Adell; nieces, nephews. She was also preceded in death on one granddaughter, three sisters and two brothers.
