Marlene “Molly” Dhein, 78, of Sheboygan, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Tuesday, August 23, 2016. Molly was born August 19, 1938, in Newton, to the late Harold and Jeanette (Pokorski) Kania. On May 25, 1957, she married Edward Dhein at St. Casimier’s Catholic Church in Newton. He preceded her in death on November 9, 2002. Early in her married life, Molly focused on raising her family while her husband was employed out of town. She also was employed at Wigwam Mills and then the Sheboygan Press, retiring in 1994. After her retirement, she continued to focus on her family. She was extremely dedicated to helping her son and watching over her 6 grandchildren. She was truly a special mom and grandma. Molly was the life of the party and always made everyone smile.
Molly had a passion for cooking and baking for her family and friends. There was always a fresh baked treat at her home for visitors. She also enjoyed arts and crafts, gardening, flowers and bird watching. Molly was also a fan of the Milwaukee Brewers and Green Bay Packers. She also enjoyed a good game of cards..
Survivors include her three loving children, Sharon Johnson, Jacquelyn (Robert) Glass and Jeffrey Dhein; six grandchildren, Christopher (Meta) Johnson, Michael Johnson, Kimberly Johnson, Mitchell Glass, Trevor Glass and Tyler Glass; one brother, Roland (Judy) Kania; one sister, Eunice (Allen) Stolzmann; three sisters-in-law, Patricia (Kenneth) Zastrow, Eileen Dhein and Irene Dhein; one brother-in-law, Nick Wagner; one aunt, Onie Hein. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one sister, Jean Wagner, five brothers-in-law, Daniel (Mildred) Dhein, Joe Dhein, Stanley Dhein, James (Marion) Dhein and Merrit (Marie) Roelse.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, August 29, 2016 at 1:30 p.m. at St. Clement Catholic Church (522 New York Avenue, Sheboygan) with Rev. Matthew Widder as celebrant. Friends may call on Monday, at the church, from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the Mass. Interment will follow at St. Johannes Cemetery, Cleveland.
