On November 11, 1884 at Sturgeon Bay, Door County, Wisconsin Olaf married Anna Peterson (1855-1930). They had eight children.
Olaf was engaged in farming and followed the carpenter's trade for many years. He lived in the town of Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin for about 84 years.
On November 25, 1937 at age 89 Olaf Johan Olson passed away in the hospital at Sturgeon Bay, Door County, Wisconsin, USA. He is buried there in the Shiloh Moracian Church Cemetery.
