"Arthur Paul Leonhard. 68. of Cleveland, died this morning at St Nicholas Hospital. He was bom Aug. 14. 1916. in the Town of Centerville. son of the late Norbert and Malitta Kress Leonhard. He married Marie Eberle on Feb. 13, 1945. at St. Wendell Catholic Church in Cleveland. The couple resided in Cleveland. Mr. Leonhard was a staff sergeant in the U.S. Army during World War II, serving from April 1941 through October 1945 with the 32nd division of Company D of the 128th Infantry in the Pacific Theater. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8974 in Cleveland, and of St. Wendell Catholic Church. Mr. Leonhard had been employed at Kohler Co.. where he worked in the north foundry for 30 years. Surviving are his wife; two brothers. Elmer of Sheboygan and Arvin of Midville, Ga.; six sisters, Mrs. Lillian Helf and Mrs. Merlin Meinnert, both of Sheboygan, Mrs. Roland Fiedler and Mrs. Robert Thieleke, both of Cleveland, Mrs. Jerome Koenig of Newton, and Mrs. Delmar Ziarnik of Manitowoc. He was preceded in death by an infant daughter and one sister. The funeral Mass will be Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Wendell Catholic Church in Cleveland, preceded by family rites at 10 a.m. at Stoltenberg Funeral Chapel in Cleveland. The Rev. Bernard Geimer. pastor, will be celebrant of the Mass. Burial will be. in St. George Cemetery in Cleveland. Friends may call at the funeral chapel Friday after 5 p.m. VFW Post 8974 will hold memorial services there. A St. Wendell prayer service will also be held there Friday.
