Mathias J. Kleckner

A funeral Mass for Mathias J. Kleckner, 82, of 1176 Franklin Drive, Cleveland, who died Thursday, will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Wendel Catholic Church, Cleveland.

The Rev. Charles Mocco, pastor of St. Casimir Catholic Church, Newton, will be celebrant of the Mass. Burial will be in St. George Cemetery, Cleveland.

Friends may call at the Gerend-Habermann Funeral Home after 4 p.m. today and at the church from 9 a.m. Saturday until the time of services. A parish vigil will be held at 7:30 tonight at the funeral home.

He was born July 17, 1903, in Port Washington, a son of the late John and Catherine Watry Kleckner. He graduated from Port Washington High School.

Mr. Kleckner was a self-employed carpenter and was employed at the Manitowoc shipyards.

On June 28, 1927, he married Hildegard Stein at St. Fedelis Catholic Church, Osman.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, John and Edward, both of Cleveland; two daughters, Mrs. Mike (La Verne) Griepentrog, of Manitowoc, and Miss Jo Anne Kleckner, of Cleveland; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Mrs. Anna Beiver, of Sheboygan, Mrs. Clara Hammer, of Wauwatosa, and Mrs. Anastacia Beiver, of Fredonia. He was preceded in death by a son, a sister and a brother.

A memorial fund has been established in Mr. Kleckner's name.
