Mrs. Gust J. Hintz, 85, of Abbotsford, Wis., died Thursday morning at the Omro Hospital, Omro, Wis., following a long illness.

Nee Lena Grundmeier, she was born in the town of Centerville on Feb. 14, 1871 and was married to Louis Dassler of Hika in 1910. The couple resided there where he was engaged in the blacksmith business.

He died in 1925 and in 1927 she was married to Gust J. Hintz of Abbotsford and they resided there since.
Survivors are her husband; a brother, William, in Kansas; one grandson, (private); two step-daughters, Mrs. Arthur (Clara) Nelson and Mrs. William (Lenore) Neil, both of Los Angeles, Cal.; a stepson Herbert Hintz, of Sheboygan. Two sons preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at the Zenk Funeral Home at Abbotsford and then the body will be brought to the Stoltenburg Funeral Chapel at Cleveland where services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Carl G. Schmahl officiating and burial will be in the family plot in St. John’s cemetery, Hika.

Friends may call at the Zenk Funeral Home at Abbotsford from Friday afternoon until the services there and at the Stoltenburg Funeral Chapel at Cleveland from Sunday afternoon until the time of the services on Monday.
