Funeral Services for Mrs. Marie Katherine Dehne, 88, was held at the Methodist Church with Rev. F. E. Lochridge, pastor of the First United Methodist Episcopal Church in charge. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery.
Marie Katherine Martin was born in Germany, July 21, 1841. At the age of 18 years she was married to Fredrick Knapwurst and to this union five sons and three daughters were born. In 1876, she was married to Charles Frederick William Dehne and five sons and two daughters were born to them. Mr. Dehne doed June 11, 1926.
Mrs Dehne is survived by 13 children: Fred Knapwurst, Sioux City, Ia., Henry Knapwurst, Sheboygan, Wis., William Knapwurst, Fort Roch, Ore., John Knapwurst, Bismark, N.D., Mrs Johanna Hostman, Minneapolis; Mrs Katherine Unger, Hika, Wis.; Mrs George Newman, Huron; Emil Dehne, Robinson, N.D., Julius Dehne, Wessington Springs; Louis and Jacob Dehne of Huron; Mrs. O.L. Green, Fedora and Mrs Roy Triplett, Alpena.There are also 38 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, one sister and one brother, Mrs. Robert Kuehn of St. Cloud, Minn., and Henry Martin of Waukon, Ia.
Two of Mrs Dehene's sons preceded her in death, Peter Knapwurst and Charles Dehne.
