Funeral services will be held Wednesday, at St. Mary Catholic church, Brillion. Rev. William O’Brien will officiate with burial in the parish cemetery.
She was born April 6, 1919, in Sherwood, daughter of the late John and Clara (Holzschuh) Brantmeier. In 1943, she married Julius Stehula at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Sherwood. They lived in Manitowoc where she worked for the Telephone Company until 1952. At that time they moved to Brillion, where they owned and operated the Brillion Bottling Company for over 20 years.
She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Brillion, and the Christian Mothers Society. She was also a member of the Brillion Women’s Club, Bridge Club and Cribbage Club where she shared many hours of enjoyment with her dear friends.
Survivors include her three sons and daughters-in-law, Leon and Mary, David and Karen, all of Appleton, Edward and LuAnn, Reedsville; a daughter and son-in-law, Helene and Dale Burmeister, Green Bay; 10 grandchildren, Three step-grandchildren; five great grandchildren, Four step-great grandchildren; one sister, Rosemary Brantmeier, Appleton; four sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Rosemary Brantmeier, Sherwood, Henry Stehula, Algoma; Theresa Koutsky, Anita Richmond, both of Manitwoc. Bernice was preceded in death by her husband, Julius, and a brother, Hilard.
