Lorina M. Leider, age 90, a Manitowoc resident, died Thursday, January 23, 2014 at Shady Lane Care Center, Manitowoc.

Lorina was born April 23, 1923 in Cleveland, daughter of the late Joseph and Jenny (Junk) Casper.

She graduated from St. Wendel Catholic School.

Lorina married Harvey Leider on September 29, 1945 at St. Wendel Catholic Church.

Lorina was baptized, confirmed and married, all at St. Wendel Catholic Church. She was employed at Paragon Electric in Two Rivers for 24 years, retiring in 1987. Lorina enjoyed spending 5 winters in Florida, 5 winters in Texas and 15 years at White Potato Lake. She enjoyed fishing, playing cards and bingo, and going out to eat. Lorina loved to bake, cook, and take care of the grandchildren whenever they needed her to.

Survivors include her husband of 68 years, Harvey Leider, Manitowoc; seven children: Gary Leider, Wautoma; Randy & Kathy Leider, Fond du Lac; Mary Jo & Martin Waack, Manitowoc; Jane Schad & special friend Pat, St. Nazianz; Mark & Michelle Leider, Manitowoc; Todd & Diane Leider, Green Bay; Kevin & Sheila Leider, Valders; twenty one grandchildren: David (Genny), Holly (David), Daniel (Cheryl), Michael, Marcy (Tim), Steven, Dawn, Heather (Tim), Bill (Kim), Lisa (Dan), Craig (Jeni), Pam (Tim), Curt, Dakota, Hunter, Derek (Sara), Adam (Meghan), Mason, Marina, Matthew (Jordan), and Mitchell (Andrea); twenty eight great grandchildren; and was looking forward to soon being a great great grandma. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Lorina was preceded in death by her mother-in-law and father-in-law; Paul & Alma Leider; one sister Meta; and seven brothers: Arthur, Bernard, Arno, Roland, Wilbert, Raymond and Alvin Casper.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 27, 2014 at St. Francis of Assisi, 1416 Grand Avenue, Manitowoc. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. William Brunner with entombment to follow services at Calvary Mausoleum, Manitowoc.

The family will greet relatives and friends at St. Francis of Assisi on Grand Avenue from 9:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. on Monday, January 27, 2014.

The family wishes to extend a special Thank You to the staffs of Holy Family Memorial Hospice and Shady Lane Care Center for all the care and compassion shown to the Leider family.
