Doris J. (Tisch) Johnson, 88, Oconto Falls, died Wednesday morning, April 30, 2014 at Community Memorial Hospital.

She was born October 29, 1925 in Suring to William and Olivia (Monson) Krumrey. Doris grew up in the Suring area where she attended a rural elementary school, two years of Suring High School, and then graduated from Oconto Falls High School with the class of 1943. Following graduation from high school, she attended business school in Marinette.

On September 14, 1946 she married Allen "Allie" Tisch at Our Redeemers Lutheran Church in Green Bay. Following their marriage, the couple lived in Oconto Falls and Doris was employed in the bookkeeping department of Oconto Electric Cooperative. In March of 1953, Allen and Doris, along with Bud and Fern Drews started Tisch & Drews Trucking Company in Oconto Falls and Doris did the bookkeeping for their new business. Following her husband Allen's death in 1975, Doris worked at United True Value in Oconto Falls and enjoyed spending winter months in Florida for many years.

On October 23, 1990 she married Frederick "Fritz" Johnson at Grace Lutheran Church in Oconto Falls. Doris was a longtime member of Grace Lutheran Church where she has been involved in the Women of the Church activities. She has also been a volunteer for the Community Memorial Hospital Auxiliary and Home Respite Care in Oconto Falls.

Family includes her three children, Lois (Cal) O'Harrow, DePere; Susan (Roger) Paulson, Gillett; Bill (Diane) Tisch, Lena; five grandchildren, Chris Tisch, St. Petersburg, FL; Erin (Jeremy) Birdeau, Mukwonago; Eric (fiance Stephanie Fifield) Paulson, Gillett; Billie Leigh and Tristin Tisch, both of Lena; two great grandchildren, Avery and Kalin Birdeau; nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband Allen on May 23, 1975, second husband Frederick "Fritz" on November 15, 2011, one brother Carl Krumrey, two sisters Charlotte Bach and Evon Giese and one grandson, Allen O'Harrow.



Burial in Woodlawn Cemetery, Oconto Falls.
