EDWARD POWALISZ

Edward Powalisz, 66, of 2215 S. 31st St., Manitowoc, died Wednesday morning at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc, after a lingering illness.
Funeral services will be at 8:30 a.m. Saturday at Leschke-Bergner Funeral Home, Manitowoc, and at 9 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Rt. Rev. Msgr. John Landowski will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mr. Powalisz was born Jan. 1, 1893, at Manistee, Mich., son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Powalisz. He was employed at Mirro aluminum Co. until his retirement in 1958. He married the former Salome Niemierowicz in 1914 at Manistee.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Gordon and John of Manitowoc and Edward Jr., of Two Rivers; two daughters, Mrs. Gordon Zannacker of Beaver Dam and Mrs. Hubert Nischan of Calumet City, Ill.; two brothers, Alois of Manistee and Ted of Detroit; five sisters, Mrs. Michael Sielski of Manitowoc, Mrs. John Corney of Manistee and Mrs. Adrian Kilbourn, Mrs. Al Schetki and Mrs. Katherine Hughes of Detroit and 11 grandchildren.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 1 p.m. Friday where the Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m.
