Mrs. Stanley Powalish 71, of 1828 S. 19th St., Manitowoc died Tuesday morning at Holy Family Hospital Manitowoc.

Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. Thursday at Pfeffer Funeral Home and 9:30 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. Thaddeus J. Kozarek will officiate with burial in St. Mary Cemetery, Manitowoc.

Mrs. Powalish, nee Othelia Matysik, was born July 24, 1903 at Piaintoski, Wis., daughter of the late Joseph and Josephine Springer Matysik. She was married to Stanley Powalish Sept. 4, 1928. She was a member of Manitowoc Senior Citizens and Rosary Society of St. Mary Parish.

Survivors include her husband, a son, Joseph of Manitowoc; three daughters, Mrs. Frank (Mary Jane) Koppa and Mrs. Daniel (Joan) Koppa of Manitowoc and Mrs. Frank (Doris) Pupok of Menominee Falls, 11 grandchildren and a great grandchild. Three brothers, and two sisters preceded her in death.

Friends may call at Pfeffer funeral home from 4 to 9 p.m. Wednesday where the Rosary will be recited at 4:15 p.m. by the Rosary Society and a wake memorial prayer service will be at 8 p.m.
