Stanley Powalish, 91, of 1328A S. 19th Street, Manitowoc, died Wednesday morning, December 19, 1990 at Holy Family Medical Center, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be 10:30 am Saturday at Pfeffer Funeral Home and 11 am at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Presiding the Mass of Christian Burial will be Rev. Roman Zbieranski O.F.M. with burial at St. Mary's Cemetery, Manitowoc.
He was born November 25, 1899 in Germany son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Powalish. He married the former Othelia Matysik on September 4, 1928. She preceded him in death May 13, 1975. Mr. Powalish was employed at Kingsbury Brewery and Eck Foundry, retiring in 1961. He was an avid bowler and enjoyed playing cards. He was a member of ST. Mary's Catholic Church.
Survivors include a son, Joseph of Manitowoc; three daughters and sons-in-law, Mary Jane and Frank Koppa of Manitowoc, Joan and Daniel Koppa of Manitowoc, Doris and Frank Pupak of Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Alois Powalish of Milwaukee and Sigmund and Betty Powalish of Orlando, Florida; a sister, Jean Powloske of Milwaukee; 11 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren also survive. He was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister.
Friends may call at Pfeffer Funeral Home, 4 pm to 9 pm Friday. Prayer service will be held at 7 pm by Deacon Robert Drobka.
