JOSEPH PLOTKA
(1836 - 1921)

Old Resident Is Called by Death

Joseph Plotka, one of the city's oldest residents and a pioneer settler, passed away at the Holy Family hospital yesterday after a protracted illness. A complication of diseases coupled with weakened vitality caused his demise.

Mr. Plotka was a native of Poland, having been born there March 9, 1836. He came to America in the summer of 1866 and had been a resident here for more than half a century. His wife died thirteen years ago and seven children are survivors: Michael and John, Mrs. Sadie Jagodnsky (sic), Mrs. Mattie Andrastek, this city; Mrs. Teckla Bonk, Two Rivers; Mrs. Anna Koop, of Chicago and George of Milwaukee.

The funeral will be held from the home 1318 So. 17th street to St. Mary's church at 9 Monday morning.
