Born Sept. 12, 1937 in Manitowoc County, Carolyn was a daughter of the late Wilfred and Lilah Kolb Rieck. She attended Sheboygan public schools and graduated from Central High School in 1955.
On Jan. 26, 1957, she was united in marriage to Floyd Stauber at the parsonage of St. Mark's United Church of Christ in the Town of Mosel.
Mrs. Stauber was employed as a service representative for the Mosel and Centerville Telephone Company. She was a member of Zion United Church of Christ where she served as an elder of the Consistory, taught Sunday school, served as an usher and was a very active volunteer at the church.
Carolyn enjoyed baseball, basketball, polka music, birds, raising flowers and for many years she baby-sat small children and was called Grandma by all.
She is survived by her husband, Floyd; four children; six grandchildren, and one sister, Sheboygan. Carolyn is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents and her brother, Maynard Rieck.
Funeral services will be held at noon, Sat., Nov. 2 at Zion United Church of Christ, 1125 N. 6th St., with Rev. Dr. Steve Pedersen, pastor, officiating. Relatives and friends are welcome at Lippert-Olson Funeral Home on Fri., Nov. 1 from 4 until 8 p.m. and at the church on Sat. from 10 a.m. until the time of services.
