South Seventeenth Street Man Dies, At Age 47


Frank Thor, 47, died at his home, 1333 South Seventeenth street at 12:30 a.m. today after an illness of several years.

He was born July 4, 1885 in the town of Franklin, Kewaunee county. He conducted a farm in Kewaunee county up to four years ago when ill health forced his retirement.

The survivors are the widow, nee Mary Sporer, three daughters, Evelyn, Lucy and Mary, all at home; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Thor of Denmark; three brothers, Wenzel of Westboro, Wis., Joseph of Milwaukee and Adolph of Fort Worth, Texas,; and two sisters, Rose of Chicago and Mrs. Frank Sporel, Manitowoc.

The body will lie in state at the Pfeffer Funeral Home from Tuesday until the hour of the funeral. Services will be held Thursday at 9:30 a.m. at Pfeffer's and at 10 o'clock at St. Andrew's church. The Rev. Henry Letz will officiate and burial will be at Calvary cemetery.
