Harvey A. Wunsch

Harvey A. Wunsch, 85, of N9220 County Road LS, passed away Saturday, June 2, 2001, at Sunny Ridge Nursing Home where he had been a resident for the past year.

Born May 4, 1916, in Sheboygan, Harvey was a son of the late Hugo E. and Ella Vogel Wunsch. He graduated from Central High School in 1935 and the UW-Agriculture Short Course in 1938.

On July 20, 1940, he was united in marriage to Doris H. Reische at St. John's Evangelical & Reformed Church. Doris and Harvey farmed in the Town of Mosel for their entire life. The couple were married for 59 years before Doris preceded him in death on Feb. 24, 2000.

Harvey was a lifelong member of Grace Lutheran Church, Haven. He was a charter member of the Sheboygan County Farm Bureau, a past member of the Grace Lutheran Council, a past member of the School Board of the Town of Mosel, a member of the Sheboygan County Historical Society, the 4-H Alumni Association, the Holstein Association, the Lakeshore Farm Management Association, and a past president of the Wisconsin Hatcheries Association.

Harvey is survived by his three children, Barbara (Karl) Kaeppler, Howards Grove, Dianne (Dr. Alfred) Ferris, Tampa, Fla., Warren (Joan) Wunsch, Haven; nine grandchildren, ten great grandchildren; nieces, nephews; other relatives and friends. Besides his parents and wife Doris, Harvey was preceded in death by his brother, Leslie, and his grandson, Mark.

Funeral services for Harvey will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, June 7, 2001, at Grace Lutheran Church, W1264 Cty FF, Haven, with the Rev. Ronald D. Pederson, officiating.


Relatives and friends are welcome at the Lippert Funeral Home, 1132 Superior Ave., on Wednesday from 4:30 p.m. until 8 p.m. and on Thursday at the church from 12 p.m. until the time of service. Interment will be in Grace Lutheran Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in his name.
