Mrs. Joseph Barth died at her home near this village last Saturday.
The deceased was born in Germany in 1858 and came to America with her parents in 1875, the family living in Chicago two years. In 1877 she was united in marriage to Joseph Barth and the Barth homestead has been their home ever since.
She is survived by the husband and nine children, six sons and three daughters. The sons are, William, Henry, August, Arthur, Joseph and Raymond. The daughters are Mrs. Anna Fritsch of Greenleaf, and Misses Tillie and Edna at home. There are also three step-daughters, namely, Mrs. Peter Rank of Manitowoc, Mrs. Sam Stephans of Oneida and Miss Mary Barth at home. Deceased was a member of the Ev. Friedens congregation of this city, and of the Ladies' Aid Society.
The funeral took place on Wednesday afternoon. Services were conducted at the Evg. Friedens Church by Rev. Wm Leonhardt. Interment was in the Brillion cemetery.
