He is survived by his mother, Martha Que Pham; a brother, Hop Vu and wife, Anh and their children and a sister, Maliwan V. Artrip and husband, Floyd, and their son.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Monday, March 18, 2013, at the Holy Comforter Catholic Church in Charlottesville with the Reverend Joseph Mary Lukyamuzi as the Celebrant.
The family received friends Sunday, March 17, 2013, at Thacker Brothers Scottsville Funeral Home.
