father of Franklin Howell

Isaac Howell, who resides just North of the brick school house near White Bridge station on Owasco street, and who has resided there for the past eleven years, was found dead by his wife by the side of the bed in which he had rested during the night, Friday morning. Coroner Tripp was summoned, but decided it was unnecessary to hold an inquest as the deceased was nearly 89 years of age, he having expired from the wearing out of the physical nature. The life of Mr. Howell is perhaps one of the most remarkable on record as he never employed a physician or was treated by one in his life. Until he moved to the house in which he died he was a farmer and lived over 35 years in the town of Scipio. Besides Mrs. Howell there is left surviving, one daughter, Mrs. Austin Wood of Auburn, and three sons, Frank Howell of Auburn, Jerome and Lloyd Howell of Scipio.
Funeral services were held at his late residence Sunday at 2 pm and the body was interred at Sand Beach cemetery.
