Mrs. Louis Gabsch, 58, lifelong resident of the town of Centerville, died Wednesday at Sheboygan Memorial Hospital following a brief illness.
Nee Laura Vogel, the deceased was born July 14, 1888, in the town of Centerville, a daughter of Richard and Pauline Vogel. Her marriage to Louis Gabsch was performed Nov. 8, 1908, and the couple immediately located on the present farm which they operated until a few years ago.
Since their retirement, they have resided with their son, Arno, on the homestead. Mrs. Gabsch was a lifelong member of St. Peter's and St. John's Lutheran church and was actively affiliated with the Ladies Aid society of the parish.
Survivors include her husband; the son, Arno; one grandson; five sisters, Mrs. Fred Kolb, Mrs. Otto Sommers, Mrs. Ernst Siggelkow and Mrs. Hugo Wunsch, all of this area, and Mrs. Ira Petherick, Milwaukee, and a brother, Robert Vogel. Two brothers and two sisters preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Stoltenberg Funeral chapel at Cleveland and at 2 p.m. at St's Peter and St. John's Lutheran church. Rev. Marti Braun, pastor, will officiate, and burial will be made in Wildwood cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral chapel from 7 o'clock this evening until the time of services. The casket will not be opened at the church.
