My grandparents always went to Rose Hills every Memorial Day, to place home-grown flowers on the graves of Grandma's parents (though Grandpa would—Almost!—cuss, if the gladiolas weren't ready yet, forcing a pricey visit to the florist!!) … In the '70s, Sunny Slope Lawn was always a riot of festive colors.
When I grew up, I continued the tradition for many years, sometimes hitting 6 cemeteries over the weekend. Of late, money limitations have prevented this; it's nice to have this as an additional option, especially since many are choosing cremation without interment.
Thanks especially to Pam; she's doing a great job, and took a nice photo of my mother's marker.
