Funeral arrangements are incomplete for Henry Howard Dillon, 62, Harper, who died at his home at 12:55 p.m. Sunday following a long illness.
He was born at Matsville, Aug. 15, 1900, a son of the late George and Ellen Athy Dillon.
A lifelong resident of Raleigh County, he was employed at the Eccles mine before his illness.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Essie Martin Dillon, at home; three sons, Clarence Ray of Cleveland, Ohio, S.Sgt George O. Dillon in Japan, and Airman 1C Gene (Matt) Dillon at Johnson Air force Base, N. C.; a brother, Doff Dillon of Mount Tabor; three sisters, Mrs. Ina Daniel of Eccles, Mrs. Leta Boggs of Prosperity and Mrs. Garnet Hurt of Grant Town; two grandchildren and six step-grandchildren.
The body is at the Melton Mortuary pending completion of arrangements."
