ARTHUR L. JOHN

KALIDA -- Former Kalida resident, Arthur L. John, 74, died at 7:35 p.m. Sunday at Paradise Oaks Nursing Home in Cloverdale.

He was born Oct. 5, 1910, in Hancock County, the son of Earl and Daisy Spacht John. On Aug. 24, 1935, he married Madalene Kimble, who survives.

Mr. John was retired as a stationary engineer with Superior Coach in Lima. He was a former member of the former Evangelical United Brethren Church in Cloverdale.

Survivors also include three sons, Ernest John of Cloverdale, Claude John of Pandora and Jack John of Van Wert; four daughters, Mrs. Perry (Dixie) Good of Cloverdale, Mrs. Charles (Sue) Balmas and Mrs. Evan (Judy) Thomas, both of Kalida, and Claudia Gibson (sic-should be "Gipson") of Lima; 21 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Private memorial services will be held at a later date.

Friends will be received at the family home between 7 and 9 p.m. Wednesday.

Arrangments (sic) are under the direction of Snyder Funeral Home in Continental.
