                                 Mabscott Resident Dies,
                                Wednesday Rites Slated


     Funeral services for Ernest Oakley Honaker, 52, of
Mabscott who died in a local hospital at 7:05 p.m.
Sunday following an extended illness will be conduct-
ed at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Mt. Tabor Baptist
Church with Rev. B. C. Jennings officiating assisted by
Rev. White of Eccles.
     He was born in Summers County on April 20, 1900
and was the son of the late Marion Honaker. He was a
miner having worked at Eccles until his illness forced
his retirement. Honaker has been a resident of Raleigh
County the past 38 years and was a member of the
Loyal Order of Moose at Hinton and of the UMWA.
     Survivors include: his wife, Mrs. Leta Dillon Honaker;
one son, Ernest Eugene Honaker of Mabscott; two dau-
ghters, Mrs. Jewell Bennett of Eccles, and Mrs. Marie
Snuffer also of Eccles; one brother, Roscoe Honaker of
Hinton; one sister, Mrs. Annie Obrien of Hix; and eleven
grandchildren.
     The body was to be removed from the Calfee Funeral
Home to the residence at 1 p.m. today.
     Burial will be made in the Calfee Cemetery at Mt.
Tabor.
     Pallbearers will be: R. J. Cline, Teel Stover, John Law,
George Mickey, Walter Hedgecock, and Richard Fleming.
