AUGUST KLESSIG

August Klessig, 86, of St. Mary Home for the Aged, Manitowoc, died there
Wednesday.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at St. John Untied Church of
Christ, Manitowoc. The Rev. Paul H. Blaufuss will officiate and burial will
be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Klessig was born Feb. 25, 1884, in the Town of Centerville, Manitowoc
County, son of the late Adolph and Louise Grasser Klessig. He married Emma
Lutzke in 1910, at Cleveland, Wis. She died in 1917. He then married Ella
Budnik Aug. 10, 1920. Mr. Klessig was employed at Pauly Cheese Co., Manitowoc
until his retirement.
Survivors include a son, Emmett, of Eagle River, Wis.; a sister, Mrs. Erna
Lutze, of Cleveland; five grandchildren and six great grandchildren. A brother
and a son preceded him in death.
Friends may call at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, after 3 p.m. Friday. The
casket will be moved to the church Saturday at 11:30 a.m. where it will lie
in state until the time of services.
