Emma A. Hintz

Emma A. Hintz, 74, a resident of Greendale Health Care Center and a former resident of the Village of Cleveland, died Thursday, October 26, 1989 at Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center, where she had been a patient for the past three days.

Born September 20, 1915 in the Town of Centerville, she was the daughter of the late August F. and Freda Gabsch Schmidt.

On June 15, 1940, she was united in marriage to Reuben Hintz. The couple resided in Cleveland. He died May 5, 1971. She was a member of St. John and St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church, in Cleveland.

Survivors are three sons, Eugene (Corrine) Hintz, Kiel; Harold Hintz, Cleveland; Kenneth (Jeannie) Hintz, Plattsburg, NY; two daughters, Mrs. Carol (David) Wood, Sheboygan; Mrs. Linda (Vernon) Brendel, Cleveland; four granddaughters; eight grandsons: two sisters, Mrs. Helen (Raymond) Richter, Sheboygan Falls; Mrs. Dorothy (Jerome) Herrmann, Howards Grove. One son, Carl preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday afternoon, at St. John and St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church, Cleveland. The Rev. Henry F. Koch, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be at St. Johannes Cemetery, Cleveland. Friends may call at the Stoltenberg Funeral Chapel, Cleveland, Saturday afternoon, from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and at the church from 12 noon Sunday, until the hour of services.

A memorial fund has been established in her name.
